(Liturgy of the Palms: The Triumphal Entry, recorded Palm Sunday 2019)
Text: Ride on! Ride on in majesty! Hark! All the tribes hosanna cry;
Thy humble beast pursues his road with palms and scattered garments strowed.
Ride on! Ride on in majesty! In lowly pomp ride on to die;
O Christ, thy triumphs now begin o'er captive death and conquered sin.
Ride on! Ride on in majesty! The angel armies of the sky
Look down with sad and wondering eyes to see the approaching sacrifice!

Hymn: "O Sacred Head, now wounded" (Tune: HERZLICH TUT MICH VERLANGEN)
(Recorded Good Friday 2019)
Text: O Sacred Head, now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down;
now scornfully surrounded with thorns thine only crown;
O Sacred Head, what glory, what bliss till now was thine!
Yet, though despised and gory, I joy to call thee mine.
What thou, my Lord, hast suffered was all for sinners' gain:
mine, mine was the transgression, but thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Saviour! 'Tis I deserve thy place;
look on me with thy favour, and grant to me thy grace.
What language shall I borrow to thank thee, dearest friend,
for this, thy dying sorrow, thy pity without end?
O make me thine forever; and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never outlive my love to thee.

TRACK 12
Miserere mei, Deus (Gregorio Allegri, 1582—1652)
(Psalm for Good Friday Morning Prayer, recorded on Good Friday 2019)
Text: God did not spare his own Son, but gave him up to suffer for our sake.
Have mercy on me, God, in your goodness. In your abundant compassion, blot
out my offense. Wash away my guilt. From my sin, cleanse me. For I know my
offense; my sin is always before me. Against you alone have I sinned; I have done
such evil in your sight that you are just in your sentence, blameless when you
condemn. True, I was born guilty; a sinner even as my mother conceived me.
Still, you insist on sincerity of heart; in my inmost being teach me wisdom.
Cleanse me with hyssop, that I may be pure. Wash me. Make me whiter than snow.
Let me hear sounds of joy and gladness. Let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Turn away your face from my sins; blot out all my guilt. A clean heart create for
me, God. Renew in me a steadfast spirit. Do not drive me from your presence,
nor take me from your holy spirit. Restore my joy in your salvation; sustain in me
a willing spirit. I will teach the wicked your ways, that sinners may return to you.
Rescue me from death, my saving God, that my tongue may praise your healing
power. Lord, open my lips; my mouth will proclaim your praise. For you do not
desire sacrifice; a burnt offering you would not accept. My sacrifice, God, is a
broken spirit. God, do not spurn a broken, humbled heart. Make Zion prosper
in your good pleasure. Rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will be pleased
with proper sacrifice, burnt offerings and holocausts; then bullocks will be offered
on your altar.

TRACK 14
Tenebræ factæ sunt (Francis Poulenc, 1899—1963)
(Responsory for Tenebræ, recorded on Good Friday 2019)
Text: There was darkness over the Earth when they crucified Jesus:
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice:
"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
And he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Jesus cried with a loud voice and said:
"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."

(Recorded in concert, February 2018)
Emily Moore, soprano soloist
Text: Eternal rest grant them, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them.
A hymn, O God, becometh thee in Sion, and a vow paid to thee in Jerusalem.
Hear my prayer: All flesh shall come to thee.
The Day of Wrath, that day which will dissolve the world into ashes:
David being witness along with Sibyl.
How great will be the quaking, when the Judge comes to pass final judgment!
O Day of tears and mourning, on which embers will arise from the glowing embers
And the guilty man is to be judged. Spare him, O God!
Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them rest. Amen.

He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.
And he shall come again in glory to judge the living and the dead:
Of his kingdom there shall be no end.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit: the Lord and giver of life,
Who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
Who with the Father and Son together is worshipped and glorified,
Who has spoken through the prophets.

And I await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

I know King Jesus reigns above; he rose up like a heav'nly dove.

Hymn: "The Day of Resurrection"
and
Toccata, from Symphony No. 5 (Charles-Marie Widor, 1844—1937)
(Recorded at Easter Vigil 2017)
Text: The day of Resurrection! Earth, tell it out abroad;
the passover of gladness; the passover of God!
From death to life eternal, from earth unto the sky,
our Christ has brought over with hymns of victory!
Our hearts be free of evil, that we may see aright
the Christ in rays eternal of resurrection light;
and, listening to the accents, may hear so calm and plain
Christ's own "All hail" and, hearing, may raise the victor strain!
Now let the Heavens be joyful, let Earth its song begin,
the round world keep high triumph, and all that is therein.
Let all things seen and unseen their notes of gladness blend,
for Christ indeed is risen, our Joy that has no end!
